Our time in the US is coming to a close this week. It has been a blur and we are amazed at all the things God has made possible though we have not been able to see everyone we wanted to see. Time with family has been precious and we have been able to see some of our friends.
We had a great visit to Messiah University and met the head of the mechanical engineering department as well as got a tour of the college. Moses had a ‘deja vu’ walking through the workshops and seeing all the machinery he used to work with in production engineering. It was good to hear how Messiah’s training intentionally intersects with missions to inspire the students to develop appropriate and sustainable technology. Joshua is looking forward to starting school there next month.
We were not able to visit as many churches as we normally do due to the short visit and the uncertainty of travel but Moses got to share a little at Millwood Church in Gap and will be sharing on Thursday evening, July 29th at 6:30 at Encounter Church, Quarryville. Our prayer is that we encourage and inspire all those we have contact with. Thank you for your prayers as we continue to see God do that.
Please pray our remaining days will be meaningful.
That our travel back to Kenya will be eventless and safe.
That the kids' adjustment back in school will be smooth.
That Joshua's transition to college life and living far from family will be grace-filled and his studies fruitful.
That the many open doors for ministry in Africa, both in YWAM and with churches and other organizations, will bear much fruit.
Blessings,
Moses and Jo Kariuki
